North Beach
Colonial Avenue and Beachfront Colonial Beach, VA
North of Riverboat on the Potomac, North Beach is close enough to the action on the Boardwalk, but quieter and more secluded.
Downtown Boardwalk Beach
Parallel to Taylor Street Colonial Beach, VA
Lively beach with a bathhouse, watersports, swings, Town Pier, CBVA’s LOVE Golf Cart; and shops, food trucks, and restaurants on the Boardwalk.
Irving Avenue Beach
Along Beach Terrace and Irving Avenue Colonial Beach, VA
Located in a residential area with a number of vacation rentals, bed & breakfasts, restrooms, and the Cannon War Memorial.
Castlewood Beach
Southern end of Irving Avenue Colonial Beach, VA
Near this beach is the public boat launch on Monroe Bay, dog park, and Castlewood Park with restrooms, benches, picnic tables, jungle gym, seesaws, slides, and swings.
The Pointe
Small beach on CBVA’s southernmost tip, on the grounds of the Dockside Restaurant & Tiki Bar, and Colonial Beach Yacht Center.
Beach Rules
To help ensure the enjoyment of all beach goers, the following rules are applicable at all Town beaches:

No grills or fires

Please, no littering

No golf carts or vehicles

No alcohol on the beach
-
No fishing between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

No pets on the beach (April 1 - September 30)

Pets on the beach
Dogs are allowed on the beach from October 1 through March 31. Full details are listed below from the Colonial Beach Town Code of Ordinances:
Sec. 5-10. - Control of animals on public beaches.

(a) It shall be unlawful for any person who owns or has control of any animal to permit such animal to be on the public sand beaches or the boardwalk between April 1 and September 30 of each year. Any person violating this subsection (a) shall be guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor.

(b) This section shall not be applicable to a guide dog, hearing dog or service dog trained to accompany a person with a disability while accompanying such person, or to any dog in the custody or control of a law enforcement officer while such officer is in the performance of his duties.

(c) For the purposes of this section, the term "animal" shall include, but is not limited to, any mammal, bird, or reptile.

(d) For the purposes of this section, the term "boardwalk" shall refer to the town owned right-of-way running parallel to the Potomac River between Hawthorn Street and Lincoln Avenue.
